Music Moves The Heart, & Touches The Soul

  • Submitted by: wistful

A song that moved me...

Fix You - Coldplay

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try, you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I ...

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I ...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

The video will *not* autoplay, so click the play button...

(Preferably after the journal music stops - don't say I didn't warn you)

I'm still waiting on my tag, dear ;). You know what's funny? My massage therapist plays that coldplay song during our sessions! :)

Charley - I know you're waiting on your tag... ;) I've just been too crazy busy... Please forgive me... I *will* get my act together shortly... And I think that song is incredibly fitting for a massage therapist to use... *smiles*

Paul - I found that link amusing, but I must beg to differ on the idea behind it... Not everything sounds like Coldplay... And - as a musician, I can tell you that each decade ends up having it's "signature sound"... This is the sound of this decade as angry grunge ala Nirvana was 90's, as synth-pop was 80's, as disco was 70's, as folk was 60's, and so on... Musical trends are the norm, not the exception, and every musician who wishes to be successful needs to pay attention and modify the current trend to his use... However, if you're not interested in making money, you can play whatever you like, no matter how against the trend... The music Lucifier's Fallen composes uses elements of the current trend as well as elements from classical and hard rock... (Which may in fact be why we can't get a label to touch us with a ten foot pole) Music, has ever been a business... In Acadaemia there is a saying: "Publish or die"... Music should have one like this: "Cater to popular trend or die"... Artistic integrity not withstanding, you need to feed the masses what they want if you want to make a living at this game...
